An MS Patient's Lament
Spasticity speaks of crooked paths,
where once stood steadfast childhood
dreams.
Sturdy steps wither in the storm,
labryinths of confusion challenge the
mind.
Stammer to the left, ditto the right,
it's all one can do to stand tall.
Feet flutter, spine tingles,
mental acuity abridged,
once I had a clarity of vision, purpose of motion,
to navigate aspirations.
Anatomy transcends through a
metamorphosis,
that signals a detour.
I cast my glances skyward,
and pen a happy ending.
